Default War strategy

In 1952, candidate Dwight Eisenhower made a vague promise to end the Korean War, and it got him elected president. In 1968, Richard Nixon touted a secret plan to end the war and win the peace in Vietnam, and he, too, was elected president.

It's very clear at this point that we will be drawing down our forces substantially in 2008. Don't think it will be too much of a factor in the 2008 Presidential election becaue it will be well underway before then---the "pre-election surprise."

Default Anti-Terrorist Strategic Weapons of Modern Terrorist Warfare

Anti-Terrorist Strategic Weapons of Modern Terrorist Warfare

Facing imminent terrorist attacks with conventional weapons, and prospective usage of Weapons of Mass Destruction on own territory, the United States must acquire, design, and develop suitable weapons to be utilized in battle under terrorist siege. An integral part of these weapons are U.S. anti-terrorist strategic arms. They fundamentally differ from all known defensive and offensive Instruments currently utilized in modern warfare.

U.S. anti-terrorist arms, or rather Instruments of Mass Survival, belong to a new generation of unconventional strategic weapons, that are not aimed to annihilate terrorist-aggressors directly, but work for keeping up and making stronger the will of the Nation to resist Terror. As a result, anti-terrorist arms are able to thwart enemy’s strategy and tactics, and eventually brake aggressor’s will to continue both, the current all-National hostage crisis and terrorist siege of the United States.

Among Instruments of Mass Survival are U.S. anti-terrorist Ideological and Economic Weaponries. Anti-terrorist Ideological Weaponry is capable of upholding fighting Spirit of homeland defenders, and strengthen the Will of the Nation to resist Terror. Anti-terrorist Economic Weaponry is able to provide all basic material necessities to sustain lives and performance of homeland defenders along with reasonable high living standards of the civilian population for as long as being under terrorist siege.

The paramount of Instruments of Mass Survival is design and construction of a complex contemporary System of advanced anti-terrorist fortifications turning the United States into Country-Citadel. These advanced fortifications set with U.S. anti-terrorist Ideological and Economic Weaponries would be capable of protecting the Nation against terrorist attacks with any types of weapons, including the most powerful Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Default Lessons of the Global War on Terror

“Fighting the Evil of Terrorism placed the United States on an exceptionally adverse battlefield analogous to using in battle light cavalry corps of the time of Napoleonic Wars against heavy tank units of World War II.”

Lessons of the Global War on Terror
by Boris Tiraspolsky

The War on Terrorism brings more questions then answers, at the present time. For instance, on February of 1993 the United States became a direct target for terrorist attacks by International terrorists on own territory. Battle against Terrorism had begun on the American soil! Since then, the United States mobilized entire military, entire intelligence, entire law enforcement to fight Terrorism worldwide. In spite of all that, in almost thirteen years the Nation continues to be in danger of direct ominous terrorist attacks. Why?

Why did the brilliant anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan and triumphant military campaign to liberate Iraq turned to be just tactical achievements of the United States in the Global War on Terror? In contrast, why is every new terrorist act, regardless of a size and success in fact a strategic defeat of the United States? The answer seems simple, but hard to digest: worldwide battle against Terrorism is newest type of warfare that the United States are conducting with “old good” strategy and tactics of wars of the past.

One of the strategic lessons of the War on Terror is that terrorists are not just “little enemy”. They are the latest type of international aggressors managed to wage worldwide war that was never fought before in the History of the Mankind. Terrorist’s global strategy combined with tactics of suicide bombings brought never confronted before ideologically charged techno-intelligent ongoing battle on omnipresent encircled battlefield with a center everywhere and circ-umference nowhere.

The “ideological” part of this extraordinary line of attack invented by terrorists consists of a human sacrifice for a sake of complete destruction of the existing, as they believe, “infidel”, “manipulative”, and “decadent” Western Civilization. The terrorist’s “techno-intelligent” part utilizes all latest developments in modern weaponry, including potential usage of Weapons of Mass Destruction in order to achieve the desired “ideological“ goal.

Another strategic lesson of the War on Terror is that terrorists have to be combated equally effective on all fronts, domestically and worldwide. Otherwise, these international aggressors continue to maintain their full capability of striking with any weapons, at any time, and any place. Hence, as long as the United States remain to be a direct target for terrorist attacks, the terrorist’s “Invisible Hand” is actually in control of battlefield, at very least. And it is impossible to compensate this existing fundamental strategic weakness by performing most impressive tactical operations.

Obviously, that one who controls atypical battlefield in this obscure war is the one who determines the course of all actions in worldwide battle. As it was said before, and needs to be restated, International Terrorism armed with ideology, economics, modern technology, potentially Weapons of Mass Destruction irreversibly changed a strategic paradigm of modern warfare: the latter is not about a wining or loosing battle anymore, it is all about either a partial survival, or total annihilation of Nations and States. This is the most important and bitter lesson one should learn.
